Overthinking and Anxiety

Do you think thousands of times before initiating a new venture?

Do you worry a lot when somebody ignores your message?

Do you always speculate pleasing people around you even if they hurt you because of fear of getting isolated?

Anxiety and overthinking is a common problem these days. It can be faced at any point in our life. For example-If the sufferer is a student when they score fewer marks or couldn’t execute well in the competition, they start assuming negative aspects about their future career or begin experiencing the apprehension of being left out in terms of progress. Bothering about a situation or getting affected by bad yields is not trouble but when your thinking is not letting you live a satisfying life, then it’s a serious problem.

Anxiety and overthinking issues are confronted by almost all of us but we are unfamiliar that it is not just limited to our behaviour. It compels our attention. Such circumstances result due to imbalance of hormones(cortisol, epinephrine and norepinephrine) in our body.

Such issues heighten our problem as it ceases us from getting out of our

comfortable zone to undertake a new task. Imagine a situation, where a married woman craves to start her career after marriage. Apart from convincing her family,  the first phase that is required is to battle all the hurdles and come out of it with strong inner vitality. But, few of them fail to attain the first step due to lack of confidence and concerns like what if they got rejected or could not accomplish their goals or could not manage her family and home.

The suspicions that anxiety puts on is just an illusion! The reality is that our body has the potential to sustain any kinds of stress or challenges that come our way but we stop at the first stage due to our perception about the future events that are far away from reality and may not happen at all.

So, the best outcome to stop our mind and body from getting trapped in such dilemmas is to regulate our thoughts to think in the right direction and only about the present situation rather than thinking about the future and building up our own stories. Many times, we have faced situations where the results were far better than we expected. Future is a box full of magic and mystery. We should concentrate on our present and try our best to do every little thing that brings a smile on our face and fetches us the immense joy of overcoming our fears.
