Some relationships don’t have any identity, it can’t be stated by any label. Naina was also in the same dilemma that what should she name this relationship of her’s with Vikram.
Being with someone else Naina wasn’t happy in it. She was just driving this relation for namesake because she can’t hurt anyone. Her emotional nature for doing good to others had kept her in this relationship. Love had no place in it at least from her side. Her jolly and playful nature had lost somewhere. She was no more the same person she used to be.
Vikram’s entry into Naina’s life triggered her. He had a love at first sight for Naina but was also aware that she is committed to someone else. It hurt him a lot but then he was glad that he had her friendship. They started talking more often. Meeting every day, having endless talks, calling each other for the silliest things have brought them more closely. They found comfort in each other.
Naina totally forgets that she is in a relationship with someone else when she is with Vikram. Now, even she started realizing something for him. Everyone in their lives has one person who is more than friends but not a lover. That one undefined relationship shuttling between a friendship and a relationship, that cannot be labeled is what Naina felt for Vikram. She used to feel a warmth of love, emotional support, a sense of comfort, a sexual chemistry brewing between them. They used to understand each other like friends, do things like a real couple; hooking up and cuddling each other, but haven’t defined this relationship. They became very close to each other that even a single day was not spent away from each other, without realizing that they are getting trapped in an undefined scenario.
Falling in love with someone, sharing yourselves and experiences together creates the most powerful memories. It’s not always plain sailing but having someone there to support you, understand you, and guide you through life’s rich tapestries is one of the most fulfilling aspects of life. Naina and Vikram were sharing the same feelings but not in the right direction. They got stuck in an ugly, uncomfortable, unlabeled space. They got into a grey area between friendship and relationship.
