When we were small the first vehicle we learned to drive was a bicycle, though we fell innumerable times we got up tried again till we were successful in learning to drive it properly. Don’t you think driving a bicycle is similar to our life, we are the driver, the cycle is our greatest asset i.e. brain with help of which we reach our destination i.e. goals of our life.
The handle is our attitude which determines the path we follow. As said, “Whether you think you can or you think you cannot, you are right.” This is 200% correct and this thing is determined by our attitude, if we have a positive attitude and believe we can achieve anything we can and vice versa is just as true. We can follow any path but attitude helps us to find the correct path and reach our true destination, it ‘handles’ our life. The brakes represent our thinking, what’s the use of brakes?
Most will say either to reduce speed, stop, or to avoid the collision. Yes, its true but many times we fail to understand the real purpose of brakes, they enable us to drive faster. Give it a thought, what will happen if there are no brakes? Will you dare to go fast and reach destinations we desire? But because of brakes, we have been able to reach where we are today, without brakes, you could have a skid or met an unfortunate accident…
Positive thinking will help us to reach our destination (goals) faster along with protecting us from obstacles. On the other hand, negative thinking acts as an obstacle itself by not letting us free to drive. Use ‘brakes’ of your life wisely. It’s obvious that when we drive we encounter many obstacles and difficulties. What are the obstacles in your life who are not allowing you to reach your goal?
Well, they can be negative thinking, procrastination, laziness, or anything but one thing is sure – with the proper balance of ‘your’ bicycle you can cross these obstacles with ease and also at the same time turn your weaknesses into strengths. The peddling cycle requires many efforts, we also get tired soon and we lose all our energy but if we drive using our grit, determination, and energy in proper balance we can reach our goal without any ‘energy crisis’.
Now the question arises what to do when our tire punctures in simple words when we feel demotivated, the obvious answer we will repair it with help of inspiration and motivation. But before learning how to drive a bicycle, when we saw others driving we felt as if its sooo easy, just peddle and cycle moves, isn’t it? Similarly, when we see others achieving goals, getting the success we think its much easy and no efforts are required, but when the real struggle begins when we try to do it.
Isn’t this true story of our lives? handling obstacles, losing the right path, maintaining proper balance. So, let’s apply this ‘bicycle’ in our lives- maintaining proper attitude, thinking positively, overcoming obstacles, and constantly trying to develop our bicycle to its fullest and driving smoothly no matter what the road offers. Let’s bicycle it……
