‘The other’ Things to carry on a holiday

Things to carry on a holiday

Holidays or even one day trips are the must these days. With these insane schedules, we all need a break often.  We all have a checklist of the things we carry on the holidays. Here today I am listing a few things which I used to usually forget to carry and then miss them on the trip.

Sunglasses and Goggles :

Yeah ,,, I know , you all carry them . But have you ever considered keeping some extra pairs? Recently I and my husband bought a bulk of goggles. We have our branded expensive shades to protect our eyes. But while roaming on the hills with a mischievous son around, we were constantly under pressure  of losing them.  So now, we do a trick. We have different glasses for using them for their actual purpose , i. E. to protect our eyes. And the rest of many others to pose and click pictures.  The variety provides different looks in the same dress, and background.  And hence we are sorted.

Songs:

Having different tastes in the music, all three of us, most of the time during our one day trip kept fighting on what songs we should play. Nowadays, we keep a playlist including everyone’s favorite songs. Also one can keep a little speaker so that songs can be enjoyed out of the car too. On long holidays (outstations), we always make sure to keep the movies and content, with everyone’s consent. We prepare from days ago and make the arrangements.

Sitting arrangements:

Especially with small kids, they get tired after walking a lot. We can keep a small folding stool so that we can sit anywhere we want.  If you find it tough to carry, you can always keep an old bedsheet, (which you want to throw away), they can be kept even inside your small bag.

Some stationery items:

Safety pins, Rubber bands, ziploc bags, trash envelopes, plastic bags, scissors, old news papers and pens. These items are used usually. But when you need them nothing can replace them. And so I always keep them all in a small purse and carry that purse on each trip. Whether one day or a long holiday, these are must for me.

Instant Energy Boosters:

Always keep some electoral sachets, energy chocolate bars, Orange candies or any other iems, which you like. We can get exhausted and hungry at any point of time on a trip. We never know, at what moment we will need them.

Medical Kit:

This everyone carries. Add some ear drops, eyedrops, and a small pond cold cream box and coconut oil’s small bottle. Ponds plus coconut oil is an age old and foolproof remedy for scratches on skin.  Also you can keep muscle relieving spray for emergencies. Along with the medicine keep some home remedies like long, elaichi, saunf, kali mirch, ajwain, pudinhara, etc.

Accessories:

I am very fond of photos and love to be clicked. So I always keep an extra pair of earrings, scarfs, hairpins, hair bands, wrist watches- hand bands- bracelets and at least three shades of lipsticks.  These allows me to quickly gets into different looks and most of my  pictures comes out fantastic..
